He has participated in exhibitions at the Barbican, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Battersea Arts Centre. He has designed artwork for the band Noah and the Whale, and illustrated for the British Museum children’s magazine, Remus. |
Guest Artist: Nicola Streeten Nicola is an anthropologist-turned-illustrator and comics scholar. Her graphic memoir, Billy, Me & You, about bereavement following the death of her two-year old son was published by Myriad Editions in 2011. It is the first published long form graphic memoir by a British woman and received a British Medical Association Award in 2012. Her second graphic novel, Hymn, a fiction exploring issues around abortion, will be published in 2015. Currently Nicola is working on a PhD at the University of Sussex on British feminist comics for which she has been awarded an Arts and Humanities Research Council Scholarship.
