ONE GOOD THING by Rachael Smith with Paul Shinn 1of 3
| One Good Thing One Good Thing is a diary comic drawn by Rachael Smith. Rachael started this comic in 2011 in an effort to beat depression and look at the good things around her. As well as being therapeutic for Rachael herself, One Good Thing has also inspired many of it’s readers to be more positive as well. “If One Good Thing is Rachael Smith’s attempt to deliver something good into the world, and make the reader’s day a little better by sharing life’s ups and downs, then this smile on my face says she’s done the job.” – Richard Bruton, Forbidden Planet International http://rachaelsonegoodthing .blogspot.co.uk/ |

She also keeps a diary comic One Good Thing. Her first two story comics The Way We Write and I Am Fire were both released to critical acclaim. Are you a webcomic creator up for taking part?
It’s a fun, creative challenge, a chance to promote your comic and a great way to get to know other folk in the webcomic community.
These amazing creators are already looking forward to joining me (Richy K. Chandler Lucy the Octopus) in taking part in WASP 2014…

If your’e interested please contact me, Richy K. Chandler (WASP Editor and Lucy the Octopus creator): richy@tempolush.com
Your webcomic probably isn’t right for the project if it is overtly explicit or offensive, contains adults only material or if it uses characters you do not own the rights to.
I’ll be letting artists know if they have been selected for the project at the end of October 2013. The deadline for finished webcomics will be around the end of February 2014, to go online March 2014.

LUCY THE OCTOPUS by Richy K. Chandler with David O’Connell
| Lucy the Octopus Lucy the Octopus is a weekly webcomic about a teenage girl who happens to be an octopus. Lucy is staggeringly unpopular both at home and school. Still our heroine soldiers on, armed with a guitar, a pufferfish and the occasional Chunky Muffin shake. lucytheoctopus.net |
Writer/Creator: Richy K. Chandler Richy is the creative force behind Tempo Lush, producing comics, illustrations and design. Writer for the Wallace & Gromit newspaper strip and Almost Naked Animals comic. Creator of Lucy the Octopus and co-creator of Rosie and Jacinda. He’s sure his favourite Pop-Tart is Unfrosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon. |
Guest Artist: David O’Connell David O’Connell is a writer and illustrator living in London. He is the creator of the webcomic Tozo, and is the editor of the comic anthology ink+PAPER. His children’s book series MONSTER & CHIPS is to be published by HarperCollins at the end of February. scribblehound.com |
The webcomic David O’Connell normally works on looks like this…
Tozo is a science-fiction tale set in a retro-futuristic world. When Detective Inspector Tozo is asked to investigate a murder, he has little idea that the trail will lead him into a deadly world of political intrigue. Currently on a year-long break, the comic returns in the autumn of 2013.
